Pokémon TCG Pocket New Features & Updates

Ruler of the Skies Expansion Now Live

The Ruler of the Skies expansion has arrived in Pokémon TCG Pocket as of July 29, 2026. This update introduces new booster packs centered around Dragon-type Pokémon, with Mega Rayquaza ex taking the spotlight as the expansion's flagship card.

New Booster Pack Category

A new "♦♦♦♦ or higher guaranteed" booster pack category has been added. When players fulfill certain conditions while opening a booster pack, the next pack from the same expansion will guarantee a card of four-diamond rarity or above. This gives collectors a clearer path to pulling high-rarity cards.

Deck Sharing via 2D Pattern Codes

Players can now share their decks using 2D pattern codes. The feature generates a scannable code for any saved deck, which other players can scan to import that deck directly into their own collection. This eliminates the need to manually copy card lists or share screenshots of deck compositions.

Deck Order Adjustment

A deck order adjustment feature has been added. Players can now rearrange the order of their saved decks in the deck menu. This makes it easier to organize decks by format, playstyle, or personal preference without deleting and recreating them.

Card Dex Registration Update

Cards that appear in multiple booster packs will now register in the card dex for all corresponding packs when obtained. This change applies retroactively to cards players already own. A player who pulls a card that exists in two different pack types will see that card marked as collected in both pack's card dex entries, rather than only the pack it was pulled from.

The update requires a data download of approximately 3.5 GB. Players should ensure they have sufficient storage space and a stable internet connection before updating.
